How to Use the Puffco Proxy Portable Concentrate Vaporizer

Remove the glass piece, drop a small amount of your concentrate into the ceramic chamber (just a little is sufficient, so avoid overfilling), and then replace the glass. Hit the button once to turn it on, then tap it to scroll through the four heat settings. Each setting has its own color, making it easier to remember your favorite one.

Yes, you can – if you use the Proxy Flower Bowl, a separate accessory for the Proxy (which is mainly built for concentrates). The Proxy Flower Bowl lets you switch from concentrate to flower. Just pop the bowl into any Proxy glass piece, which will turn your focus vaporizer into a dry herb pipe. 

It’s economical, since you don’t have to buy a separate device for smoking flower. In this case, it serves as a dual tool. Now remember that this isn’t vaping. This is straight-up combustion, so you’ll be lighting the flower the traditional way. When switching from dabs to flower, it’s best to clean your glass first to maintain clean and distinct flavors.

Can I put water in my Puffco Proxy?

You can’t put water directly into the Puffco Proxy itself, but you can absolutely enjoy water filtration with the correct setup. The base device is made for dry use, but Puffco offers a terrific accessory called the Proxy Bub. It’s essentially a mini glass bubbler that fits the Proxy perfectly, providing the cooler, smoother hits you’d expect from a water pipe.

You can also use third-party adapters that allow you to connect your Proxy to a traditional water pipe or rig. These come in different angles (like 45° or 90°) depending on what you’re working with. The Puffco Proxy’s battery is designed to last for approximately 15 sessions on a full charge. However, actual usage may vary depending on factors such as the temperature setting you choose and if you use Boost Mode. How do I clean my Puffco Proxy?

Once the precision heated chamber has cooled off after a session, use a dry cotton swab to wipe away any leftover residue. For a deeper clean, unscrew the chamber, soak it in 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol for about 20 minutes, then let it air dry completely before reassembling it. The same goes for the glass piece. 

As for the base, remove both the glass and the chamber. Carefully clean the gold contact points and airpath using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Just make sure no liquid gets into the USB port or inside the base. Always let everything dry completely before reassembling it. 

What is the hottest setting on Puffco Proxy?

The new Puffco Proxy features precisely defined levels and four preset heat settings, each with its own distinct color. There’s Blue (Low), Green (Medium), Red (High), and White (Peak). The hottest standard setting is White, which heats up to around 545°F (285°C). This setting is ideal if you want to create massive clouds or continuously produce thicker vapor.

However, there’s also a hidden “Easter Egg” mode that raises the temperature of the Proxy even higher, up to approximately 620°F (327°C). To activate it, switch to the White setting and then hit the button five times quickly. Remember, though, that while higher temperatures produce more vapor, they can be a bit harsher and may slightly diminish the flavor. So if you’re particular about taste, you might prefer sticking to the lower settings for a reliably smooth hit.
