What Is Fermented Kratom?
Fermented kratom starts just like any other kratom, but an additional fermentation step is included before drying and crushing the leaves into a powder form. The fermentation step is a straightforward process.
Once the kratom leaves are harvested, they are typically placed in bags of some sort (Kats specifically uses burlap bags.) Once they are in bags, they sit for a period which allows them to collect moisture (Kats sit for 2-3 days.) During this period, a reaction occurs, causing chemical bonds to be broken down and metabolic adaptation.
Once this occurs, they go through the usual steps of drying and being crushed into a powder. As stated, this process creates higher concentrations of alkaloids and a more robust alkaloid profile by using natural oxidization.
