What Is Mitragynine Pseudoindoxyl?
If users are familiar with the mitragyna speciosa plant, then they know that it is highly complex and there are over 40+ different alkaloids that contribute to its effects. Many users are familiar with the main two alkaloids, mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, but as time has passed and research has been done, we have discovered and learned so much more about this natural herb.
Mitragynine pseudoindoxyl is a rearrangement product of 7-hydroxymitragynine, which is the active metabolite of mitragynine. A rearrangement reaction happens when the carbon skeleton of a molecule is rearranged to give a structural isomer of the original molecule. In layman’s terms, mitragynine pseudoindoxyl provides many of the same benefits as 7-hydroxymitragynine and its own unique set of benefits that differ from that alkaloid.
Much like 7-hydroxymitragynine and mitragynine, this alkaloid is a μ opioid receptor agonist and δ opioid receptor antagonist, which is what produces its strong analgesic and pain-relieving properties.
What Is The Difference Between Mitragynine Pseudoindoxyl And 7-Hydroxymitragynine?
As mentioned, this alkaloid works very similarly to 7-hydroxymitragynine and is around 5x stronger in terms of its analgesic effects and pain-relieving properties. It is thought to be just as effective, if not more effective, at relieving pain than morphine.
That said, there are some slight differences between these two alkaloids. While 7-hydroxymitragynine provides deep pain relief, it also comes with mild stimulation, focus, and euphoria, depending on the dosage.
This is not the case with pseudoindoxyl. Although it is 5X as strong in the pain relief department, it does not provide any of the other effects listed above. This is the main difference. This alkaloid should be used strictly medicinally and has no recreational value whatsoever as opposed to 7OH, which has moderate recreational effects.
How Do I Dose Mitragynine Pseudoindoxyl?
As mentioned, the Great CBD Shop doesn’t recommend that beginners use this product. This alkaloid should only be used by veteran kratom users familiar with kratom, extracts, and how to properly dose.
Much like other kratom products, less is more with these tablets, and they should only be used on high-pain days. The suggested dosage is one-half of a tablet or 9mg of pseudo, but it could be broken into quarters for smaller dosages. Once the user has determined their tolerance to this new alkaloid, they may increase the dosage if they haven’t received any relief.
